Reds prepare for Brumbies clash

Tooheys New Rugby Super 14 The Reds are coming off the back of a disappointing loss against the Stormers last weekend and are looking to regain Queensland pride.

"We played plenty of attacking football and we had our opportunities, we just couldn't capitalise on them."

"We're playing for pride now" Miller said.

The Reds will fly out to Canberra Friday morning in preparation for the clash but will leave without Lloyd Johansson who has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Skipper John Roe acknowledges that it's no secret on how to beat the Brumbies; it's just a very difficult thing to do.

"The way you beat the Brumbies is by disrupting them and not allowing them to play the way how they want to play. It's an easy thing to say, it's a very difficult thing to do, but hopefully we can make some inroads there this week" Roe said.

"We're certainly very much looking forward to the challenge of playing the Brumbies because they're in very good form at the moment and we certainly want to take it right to them."

The Brumbies will be without playmaker Stephen Larkham for the interstate clash but have been boosted with the return of Matt Gieau.

The Reds will come up against former team mates Daniel Heenan, Gene Fairbanks and Adam Wallace-Harrison, all of whom are in the starting side.
