Krncevic to ignore 'tight' Victory
Leading soccer agent Eddie Krncevic has decided to cut off all dealings with Melbourne Victory, branding the
club as `tight arsed'.
Krncevic represents Andy Vlahos and current Australian under-20 player Chris Tadrosse, both of whom were
released by the Victory in recent weeks.
"I will not bring them a player again and I didn't get a commission for either of those guys," said
Krncevic, himself former Socceroo who starred in Europe and the National League.
"If you don't pay agents these days, you won't get quality. That's the bottom line with agents."
"They said that Andy didn't perform. Well, on that basis, I would have sacked the whole team except for
Archie Thompson, because none of the others performed either."
Krncevic said that Vlahos - who has just signed a short-term contract with Victorian Premier League club
Heidelberg United - was still in demand to play in the A-League next year.
"They've lost a fantastic footballer, I'm sure I'll get some calls in the next 24 hours. It's a big loss,
and it might come back to bite them on the bum," Krncevic said.
"Andy's got the fire in his belly and he'll prove the club wrong wherever he goes."
While Vlahos ponders his next move at home, Tadrosse's career is blossoming so much at lower league German
club KFC Uerdingen that he has already been sounded out by former UEFA Cup champions Borussia
Monchengladbach.
Krncevic said the Victory was developing a disturbing penchant for overlooking talent that was appreciated
elsewhere.
"If (Tadrosse) is good enough for the Germans, why isn't he good enough for the A-League? Something is not
quite right," Krncevic said.
"Now, they've done it with Andy and Chris, I just don't know what surprises they're going to pull. I won't
deal with them any more."
Krncevic said that while the club continued to deny agent requests, their ability to sign elite players
would be severely hampered.
"Agents won't do it for nothing, and they'll bring you quality if you pay them a commission," Krncevic
said.
"Once the agents know there's no commission, you'll find they bring players who are not as high
standard.
"I think (Melbourne) have got issues down here with the way they operate."
Melbourne Victory coach Ernie Merrick said the club had no problem in dealing with Krncevic.
