Storm name team for Manly clash

NRL Telstra Premiership 2006 Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has named a 19-man squad for this Saturday’s Round 26 clash against the Manly Sea Eagles.

After last Saturday’s hard fought 22-18 win over the Canberra Raiders in Canberra, the Storm extended their lead at the top of the 2006 Telstra NRL Premiership ladder to eight points.

The Sea Eagles had an impressive 21-20 win over the Bulldogs after Matt Orford kicked the winning field goal in the 78th minute. The win elevated the Sea Eagles to third position on the ladder.

Bellamy has made several additions to the squad that was named for the Raiders clash last Saturday night.

Both Jake Webster, who was left out of the team that faced the Raiders, and Michael Crocker, who was suspended, have been added to the squad.

Meanwhile, Bellamy said he was torn between the virtues of resting players and maintaining momentum in his team's last hitout before the finals.

"There are a couple of guys I want to give a run, but just where we play them is the question. It is a tough call and it's really hard to know what we should do," said Bellamy.

"They all need a run, but with our feeder teams finished for the year, first grade is the only option now. None of the players want a rest and, from what my medical staff is telling me, no one really needs one."

In a major boost for Manly, halfback Matt Orford is almost certain of being fit for Saturday's game, his first at Olympic Park since quitting Storm at the end of last season.
