The sale of the first two signed NSW Waratahs jerseys has seen well in excess of four thousand dollars
raised for the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and Westmead Children’s Hospital.
Lote Tuqiri’s “LT” initialled jersey sold for $3,551, while the “WC” worn by lock Will Caldwell in the
trial against the Crusaders went for $790.
Both jerseys were auctioned on eBay, with the two winning bids coming from Sydney & Darwin.
“This is a fantastic result for two of Sydney’s most worthwhile causes,” NSWRU Chief Executive Officer
Fraser Neill said.
“We were hopeful of a good result from the sale of the first two jerseys, as has indeed proven to be the
case.
“It’s a very encouraging sign, with the rest of the jerseys to go on sale over the course of the Super 14
season.”
Stay tuned for details of the next jerseys to go on sale.
