Redhage wins second NBL weekly award

NBL Philips Championship Perth Wildcats import Shawn Redhage has secured his second National Basketball League (NBL) Philips Player of the Week award after taking out the honour courtesy of his impressive Round 21 performance against Cairns.

The 203cm forward led from the front for the Wildcats with a 28-point haul which inspired Perth to a 91-81 upset victory over the Taipans on Sunday.

The American big-man was outstanding for the Wildcats, lifting his side at crucial stages in the game. Redhage dominated the first term with 12 points, before finishing the night with a game-high 28 points as well as eight rebounds and four assists.
