Bulldogs re-sign Jarrad Hickey
Canterbury Bulldogs forward Jarrad Hickey has agreed to terms with the Club and will wear the blue-and-white
until the end of the 2008 season.
Hickey, 21, is a product of the Bulldogs' junior system, hailing from the St Christophers Junior Rugby
League Club in Revesby.
Weighing in at 114kg and standing almost two metres tall, Hickey made his NRL debut this season in Round 11
when the Bulldogs triumphed over the Sharks.
Bulldogs football manager Bradley Clyde commented, “Jarrad Hickey has progressed though the ranks as a
local junior and is now realising his potential as a rugby league player.
“He’ll be a member of our fulltime squad in 2007 which presents an enormous opportunity for a kid who loves
his footy.”
Meanwhile, centre Willie Tonga will miss several weeks with a hamstring injury after leaving the field on
Saturday night against the Broncos after playing just 28 minutes.
The full extent of the injury will be known in the next couple of days as he will have scans tomorrow.
