Arnberger ton lifts Bushrangers
A magnificent 184-run partnership between fellow left-handers Jason Arnberger and Lloyd Mash has brought
Victoria back from the brink and back into contention of day three in their Pura Cup clash against South
Australia at the Junction Oval.
The Bushrangers closed the day at 4/318, with the hosts clinging onto a 78 run lead which they will hope to
expand to over 200 before attempting to roll the visitors quickly on the fourth-day pitch. The game will most
likely finish in a draw.
Arnberger (143) and Mash (94) were the stars for Victoria, with Arnberger flaying the Redbacks attack for
18 boundaries, whilst Mash gave the small crowd catching practice with two towering sixes combined with 10
brilliant fours.
The Bushrangers resumed at 0-7, and Arnberger and Michael Klinger quickly got to work scoring 58 runs in
the first hour with Arnberger playing the senior role in the partnership.
With the score on 93, Arnberger passed the 5000 first class runs mark, a great effort for a loyal servant
of Victoria.
However, without the score moving, Michael Klinger was dismissed for 38, caught behind by wicketkeeper
Graham Manou off the bowling of paceman Paul Rofe. This brought Mash to the crease, who did not relent on his
attacking stance throughout an enjoyable innings.

Daniel Cullen.
