Ronchi replaces Dorey in ING Cup squad

Cricket '05 @ Sports Australia Wicket keeper batsman Luke Ronchi has replaced paceman Brett Dorey in the Western Warriors squad for Saturday's ING Cup match against Victoria in Melbourne.

Ronchi comes into the 12 man squad after Warriors management decided to take a conservative approach to his quadricep injury given the domestic season is only a week old. Dorey left the field during Sunday's ING Cup match against Victoria after feeling tightness in his left quadricep.

He pulled up well at Warriors recovery yesterday morning but a scan yesterday afternoon revealed a slight tear and team management decided to rest the big paceman ahead of next week's ING and Pura Cup matches against New South Wales at the WACA.

Western Australia's four Australian representatives will again play for their state, with Adam Gilchrist, Justin Langer, Damien Martyn and Mike Hussey all to travel to Melbourne.

Warriors ING Cup Squad:
Justin Langer (Captain), Mike Hussey (Vice-Captain), Adam Gilchrist, Marcus North, Damien Martyn, Adam Voges, Luke Ronchi, Darren Wates, Peter Worthington, Brad Williams, Beau Casson and Michael Clark.

Western Australia will name their super sub on the morning of the match.

Match Details:

Victoria vs Western Australia
Junction Oval, Melbourne

Play starts at 10:00am (local/EST), 8am (WA)
TV Coverage available nationally on Channel 9
