HORSE RACING

Here we go. The Spring is well and truly underway, and this week sees the running of the Caulfield Guineas.

Can you feel the excitement building.

It seems so soon. I am yet to get over God's Own and his miraculous win last year.

One of the most memorable performances I have ever seen on a racetrack. How he won, I will never know.

I cannot wait to see his progeny on the racetrack, if Redoute's Choice has done well, at stud, then just you all wait and see HIS.

Bart Cummings has one of the favourites in Wonderful World this year, and he is not without some hope.

His other runner is Sirmione who will be ridden by Blake Shinn, and is rated about a 20-1 chance.

David Hayes has Churchill Downs, Mudzaher, Danever and the only filly in the race Anamato.

All have winning hopes especially the filly Anamato.

Don't let that surprise you, if you take a look at her form, it is nothing short of top shelf.

She is as game as they come, and the step up to the mile will hold her in good stead.

Expect her to be right up there at the business end.

Their are a few unknown promising gallopers in the race also, of the unknown brigade, keep an eye on Wordsmith.

Wordsmith is going to go around at any old quote but, I will not be leaving him out of my multiples.

He has had no luck recently, so keep safe. Sydney has sent across Excites and Court Command.

In recent years Sydney has won the coveted 3yo event over a mile here at Caulfield.

It seems the trend may continue, both horses are genuine winning chances.

Court Command may start as short as even money, when they jump.

He has all the favours drawing favourably at his first try around Caulfield.

Good horse.
