Michael Hogg

AFL and League Reporter for SportsAustralia since early 2005. After his football career was terminated by the Northern Knights in 1999, Michael set about playing his trade for Eltham until 2001, when he decided to concentrate solely on the might Collingwood Magpies, the Melbourne Storm and any other sporting club of interest. And also writing about them.

In 2002, Michael started a Certificate IV in Broadcast Journalism at Holmesglen Institute of TAFE and the next year completed a Diploma in Mass Communication. In 2004 he transferred over to picturesque Sunbury to commence a Degree of Sport Administration which he is now halfway through.

Michael hopes to use his education and the experience of SportsAustralia as a stepping stone to becoming a Media Manager in a sporting club.
