The New South Wales Waratahs have reclaimed the Weary Dunlop Shield with a thrilling 32-25 victory over the Melbourne Rebels at AAMI Park on Friday night.
The visitors secured the come from behind victory on the stroke of fulltime when inside centre David Horwitz scored in the 80th minute to seal the remarkable win after trailing by 19 points at half-time.
The Waratahs capitalised on a depleted Rebels with 26 unanswered second-half points after the hosts lost hooker James Hanson, who was celebrating his 100th Super Rugby game, along with locks Culum Retallick and debutant Dominic Day to concussion. Read more

The Western Force can confirm that winger Luke Morahan will leave the club at the end of the 2017 Super Rugby season, to further his career at Bristol Rugby in the English Premiership.
Morahan has played 38 games for the Western Australian club to date since defecting from the Queensland Reds in 2014. Scoring 11 tries, including a club high five tries in the 2015 season.
The four-time capped Wallaby says that the decision to leave WA was a difficult one, but believes it’s the best choice to further his rugby career. Read more

The Chiefs have scored a late win over a gutsy Melbourne Rebels with a 27-14 victory at AAMI Park, Melbourne, on Friday night.
The visitors scored 13 unanswered points in the last six minutes of the fourth round fixture to break a 14-all deadlock and maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
A spirited Rebels, fresh off the bye, showed plenty of vigour and resilience in a much-improved performance but couldn’t hold out the experienced Chiefs in the end. Read more

The Queensland Reds have lost 22-20 following a last-minute penalty goal to the Crusaders at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night in Round Three of Super Rugby.
A fast start to the Reds saw them lead 17-0, but the Crusaders rallied to outscore the Reds 15 points to nil in the second half.
17,931 supporters were at Suncorp Stadium for the annual Ladies Round fixture, as the Crusaders stole victory with a penalty goal after the final siren had sounded. Read more
The Brumbies claimed their first victory of the 2017 Super Rugby season beating the Western Force 25-17 in a thriller at GIO Stadium.
Robbie Abel’s 80th minute try was the icing on the cake for the Brumbies, sealing the win and giving their 8,600 fans plenty to cheer about.
The Force pushed the home side for the full 80 minutes in a physical encounter between the two Australian teams, but the Brumbies’ hunger for their first win proved too much for the visitors in the end. Read more
Kurtley Beale has signed with Australian Rugby, committing to a two-year deal with the ARU and NSW Waratahs until the end of 2019.
The 28-year old has returned to Australia following a season with Wasps in England, to re-unite with his Waratahs and Wallabies teammates.
A veteran of 60 Test caps, Beale was still eligible to play for Australia even if he decided to play his club rugby abroad. Read more

The Brumbies have suffered a heartbreaking bonus-point loss at the hands the Sharks at GIO Stadium.
With scores locked at 22 apiece as the full-time hooter sounded, Sharks centre Lukhanyo Am was able to get on the end of a Curwin Bosch kick and seal the win for the visitors.
It was a cruel end to a match the home side had fought so brilliantly to still be in after losing Kyle Godwin to the sin bin and absorbing some intense pressure from the Sharks. Read more

The Western Force have ended their recent run of home defeats with a spirited 26-19 victory over the Queensland Reds at nib Stadium in Perth this evening.
Led by Curtis Rona and Dane Haylett-Petty the home side were celebrating their first home win in nearly two years with a courageous come-from-behind performance against a star-studded Reds line-up.
Best for the Reds in defeat were Eto Nabuli, who scored a hat-trick of five-pointers, along with veterans George Smith and Quade Cooper. Read more

The Brumbies picked up a losing bonus point as they kicked off the 2017 Super Rugby season with a narrow 13-17 defeat to the Crusaders in Christchurch.
A heroic defensive effort in the first forty minutes led to a much-improved attacking display after the break as the Brumbies pushed the Crusaders all the way, only to come up agonisingly short. But there were plenty of encouraging signs in what was a decent display.
The Crusaders made a brisk start to proceedings forcing the Brumbies onto the back foot from the kick-off, roared on by a partisan home support. With slick handling and early possession, a score looked inevitable and it duly arrived in only the fourth minute. Read more

The Queensland Reds have got their season off to a winning start with a 28-26 win over the Sharks in their first outing of the 2017 Super Rugby season at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The Reds outscored the Sharks four tries to two in a gruelling encounter where the Sharks lead until the 73rd minute.
A second-half double to Samu Kerevi saw the Reds come from behind before James Tuttle sealed the victory scoring a try with his second touch of the ball.
Reds head coach Nick Stiles noted his side’s determination to stay in the match in front of 15,015 fans at Suncorp Stadium. Read more
