North overrun tired Tigers

North Melbourne has bounced back from their 30 point loss to Sydney last weekend to keep their finals hopes alive with a 50-point victory against Richmond at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.

In wet and slippery conditions the Kangaroos had too much run for a Tiger side that is yet to beat a Victorian opponent this season.

Five unanswered goals in the third quarter set up the convincing 15.13 (103) to 7.11 (53) win for North, who are now placed just outside the top eight on percentage with six rounds remaining in the home and away series. Read more

Unstoppable Saints show North no mercy

The St Kilda juggernaut reaffirmed their determination to redeem their 2009 Grand Final loss with a complete annihilation of opponents North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.

To use an old fashion football colloquialism Saints inflicted an absolute “shellacking” this weekend, destroying North Melbourne by a massive 104 points.

An inspirational first quarter by the Saints, kicking eight straight majors and leaving North scoreless at the first break provided the foundation for the home teams domination. Read more
